Caitlin (“Cait”) Riccobono, Esq. joined Nixon Law Group as Counsel in 2017. Prior to beginning her career as a healthcare lawyer, Cait spent five years in skilled nursing/long-term care facilities as a social worker. She puts this front-line experience to work for her clients, utilizing her unique perspective to craft practical solutions in a complex regulatory environment. Not surprisingly, Cait particularly enjoys working with clients in the post-acute sector, including home health, assisted living, rehabilitation/skilled nursing, and hospice.
In addition to her post-acute clients, Cait advises physician practices and other healthcare entities on a range of issues, including general compliance and risk management, telehealth/telemedicine, IT privacy and security, fraud and abuse, provider/payor/patient contracts, and licensing/administrative matters. She has a particular interest in assisting clients with the integration of technologies—both health-related and mainstream—into healthcare settings, and enjoys working with healthcare technology clients on matters related to data governance.
Cait graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law and led her own healthcare firm prior to joining Nixon Law Group. She is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Health Care Association (VHCA/VCAL), and the Richmond chapter of Aging2.0. Cait serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association for Hospices and Palliative Care and is co-chair of their Public Policy Committee. Cait is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is based in the Firm’s Richmond office. She lives in Henrico County with her two “legal beagles” (the parabeagles).
Cait is licensed in Virginia and is based in our Richmond office.
